Introduction I welcome you to "Trillium Studios" In Arthur, Ontario Canada. This web-site has been too long in coming, and with the help of my friends, their gentle prodding and expertise, I have a web-site to be proud of. Before I tell you a little about myself I'd like to acknowledge some pretty fine people. I'd like to express my deepest gratitude to Dave Whalley and Jon Fleet. Without their expert advice, thoughtful suggestions and boundless energy, I'd still be talking about putting all of this together. There are many people I could thank at this time. Those of you that have followed with interest, as I've progressed and those of you that own a few of my "wall hangers." I thank you all, and can assure you, I still have lots to say, and much to do. I'd also like to thank two special people; true patrons of my Art, Nancy and Denny Toffolo. They have, easily, the largest collection of my Art over the past fifteen years, or so. More important though, is how they have been there for me as friends, particularly when times were uncertain and, a bit though. In addition, Nancy and Denny are excellent flyfishers, and have done so much to contribute and promote this great sport. Nancy and Denny, I'm so fortunate to have you as friends!

Who is Al Hassall? This is a fair question. I've often said, if I weren't a Fine Art Teacher and "free-lance" artist, I'd be a guide somewhere in British Columbia or Alaska." All I've ever really wanted to do in life is teach, paint and fish, and be with my sons, as much as possible. (They both tower over me!) I'm humbled and inspired at the same time, with the number of people familiar with my Art, and my name. I think I've managed to attract a fair bit of attention because of the many illustrations, paintings, pen and inks I've done in books, magazine covers, and journals over the past twenty-five years. Publishing my Art has essentially been my way, of advertising, my Art. However, the next logical step was to get on the Internet, so here I am! Please take a look at my site. I hope it will give you a clear picture of who I am and the style of Angling Art I strive to create. I sincerely hope you'll like some of the images under their given media. I will update these images as required and would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding commissions, new work, framing problems, and suggestions of the like.
